  1. Data Controller

The Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), with CIF Q-2820002-J, located at Avenida Complutense, 40, 28040 Madrid, is the entity responsible for the treatments generated with the personal data provided by users of the portal.

In compliance with the provisions of art. 37 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the CIEMAT has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPD) in order to advise and inform the CIEMAT in the processing of personal data and interact with the entire university community.   1. Purposes and legal basis

We process the personal data you provide for the following purposes:

– Manage your registration to the congress or event organized by the association.

– The sending of informative communications of new congresses/events or news that could be useful to you related to this congress; newsletters, etc.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is based on:

– The consent given by the data subject himself, Article 6.1 letter a) of the GDPR.

  1. How long your data will be kept

Personal data will be kept for the time necessary to manage your registration to the congress or event and when they are no longer needed, they will be kept blocked for prescription purposes.

The data provided for informative communications and the capture of images and/or voice will be kept if you do not expressly request their deletion.

  1. Communications of your data

Please note that unless there is a legal obligation or court order, we do not communicate or transfer your data to third parties. In this sense, the data controller may outsource some services to third party companies called data processors, which, in order to provide the service properly may access those personal data necessary and in relation to the purpose of the service and under strict compliance with technical and organizational measures. The following are the outsourced services with third party companies that exist:

Data processor: CEVENTS SL – B98261001, Camí Vell d’Albal, 127 – 46469 Beniparrell, Valencia (Spain).

– Provision of management and maintenance services for the Web Site, as well as data storage.

  1. International data transfers

If you live in a European Union (EU) country, the European Economic Area (EEA), or the UK, then by providing your consent to our privacy policy you also acknowledge that UAM, is an international organization with its principal office in the United States, and you explicitly consent to the transfer of your information to third countries outside the EU, EEA, and UK that have no level of data privacy protection comparable to that of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and where there may not be a supervisory authority, data processing principles, or data subject rights.

  1. Rights of the interested party

We also inform you that you can exercise your rights of access, rectification or deletion, limitation of processing, portability and opposition to automated individual decisions, and withdraw your consent at any time, proving your identity, by writing to the registered office of the Association or by e-mail to the address: delegada.protecciondedatos@uam.es

If you consider that your right to data protection has been violated, you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority, the US Federal Trade Commsision.

  1. Consent to receive information

I give my consent to receive informative communications from the data controller, regarding aspects of interest of the congress such as; congress newsletters, invoices, verification mails, confirmation of abstracts, in short, everything related to the congress services.
